How bin stores work
1. Restock day
The store fills its bins with new pallets of returns and overstock. This is the most expensive day, usually $7 to $15 per item, and the best selection.
2. Prices fall
Each day the flat price drops. By the end of the cycle items are $1 or even free, and the store closes for a day or two to restock.
3. Dig
You pick through bins by hand. Bring hand sanitizer, a bag, and patience. Read our first-visit tips.
